BMW Oracle clinches spot in Louis Vuitton Cup semis
VALENCIA, Spain (AP) BMW Oracle Racing clinched a place in the Louis Vuitton Cup semifinals with a win over French team Areva Challenge on Saturday in the America's Cup challenger series.
Italian syndicate Luna Rossa stayed tied with BMW Oracle Racing at the top with 31 points by winning its seventhflight match race against +39 Challenge on the southern "Juliet" course, but the Americans became the first syndicate to advance to the last four. The semifinals will be raced May 1424.
